"Guangyun" included 26,194 characters. Also in the Song Dynasty, Simaguang's et al. "Leipian" compiled over 31,319 characters. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Zili's "Zhengzitong" included 33,440 characters. In the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Yushu and others compiled the "Kangxi Dictionary," which includes 47,035 characters. In modern times, the "Hanyu Da Zidian" (Great Chinese Character Dictionary) has even more extensive coverage, containing 60,370 characters. Among these, the "Difficult to Check Characters Table" (难检字表) also includes many Chinese characters with unknown pronunciations.
