In the vibrant landscape of Lingnan, where everyone is engaged and new beginnings flourish, the Guangdong High-Quality Development Conference was held in Guangzhou on February 5th.

"Scientific and technological innovation is a powerful driving force for high-quality development, which is an essential source for leading and creating new demands," said Liang Hua, Chairman of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., at the conference. He pointed out that in 2024, Huawei's overall operations met expectations, with ICT (Information and Communication Technology) infrastructure remaining robust, consumer business returning to growth, and smart automotive solutions rapidly expanding. The company achieved a total sales revenue exceeding 860 billion RMB for the year.

Liang Hua expressed that Huawei regards high quality as the cornerstone of the company's survival and development. The company is committed to building a solid digital and intelligent infrastructure foundation, steadily advancing its artificial intelligence development strategy, and empowering various industries through technological and scenario innovations. This aims to facilitate the integration of the digital economy with the real economy. "Looking towards the future, there remains significant external uncertainty, but the trends of digitalization, intelligence, and low-carbon development are certain."

At the conference, Liang Hua also offered suggestions for innovation in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry. "For AI to fully realize its value across all industries, data is fundamental—the depth of digitalization determines the height of intelligence," Liang pointed out. He indicated that the intelligent upgrade of traditional industries requires the establishment of a unified software ecosystem geared towards smart terminals, IoT terminals, and digital infrastructure. The prosperity and development of this software ecosystem cannot be achieved without concerted efforts from society as a whole. It necessitates an open-source approach to gather the wisdom and strength of the entire industry.
