China Network Technology, June 17, with the continuous and stable growth of the domestic second-hand e-commerce market, second-hand e-commerce platforms are gradually becoming the first choice for consumers to pursue practicality and cost-effective. Recently, according to the "2023 China Online Retail Market Data Report" released by the Network Economic and Social E-commerce Research Center jointly with the Digital retail Station, the scale of second-hand e-commerce transactions in China in 2023 reached 548.65 billion yuan, an increase of 14.25%. However, with the rapid development of the industry, second-hand e-commerce platforms are also facing many challenges.
According to the data of the platform, the second-hand e-commerce market is still facing many challenges and problems, which require the joint efforts of industry participants to solve. Among them, one of the most prominent problems is the uneven quality of products, accounting for 21.71%. Due to the nature of second-hand goods, their quality is often difficult to guarantee, which brings great risks to consumers.
It is worth noting that according to the effective complaints of users in the field of second-hand e-commerce in China accepted by the "Telegram Bao" in 2023, the "turn around" in 2023 has received 17 consumption ratings, 3 times for "careful ordering", 14 times for "not recommended ordering", and the overall consumption rating in 2023 is "careful ordering". User complaints are mainly focused on the quality of goods, refund problems, online fake sales, online fraud, goods are not on the board, after-sales service, overlord clauses, frozen merchant funds, order problems and so on.
The case shows that Mr. Chen in Henan Province complained to "telegram Bao" that he bought a mobile phone in the official inspection market on April 15, 2023, and the platform marked the wear degree of the mobile phone as "slight" when buying it, and the corresponding picture was attached as a reference. Due to Mr. Chen's lack of understanding of the inspection standards, he decided to recycle the phone for testing. However, the same inspection standard was tested, and the wear degree of the mobile phone changed from the "slight" described by the previous platform to "obvious". Mr. Chen then showed the photo on the platform at the time of purchase and compared it with the engineer. The engineer advised Mr. Chen to contact customer service to resolve the problem.
Mr. Chen contacted the customer service, initially, the customer service proposed compensation of 30 yuan as a solution, but then increased to 50 yuan. Mr. Chen said that this is an obvious fraud of consumers, to deceive customers who do not understand the inspection standards and trust the platform to buy machines. Mr. Chen said he wanted to rest assured, trust shopping, requiring a serious and responsible inspection, not to take advantage of.
China Network Technology noted that previously, the media had also reported complaints about the Yin and Yang contract involved in the quality inspection process of the circular platform.
